Louis Surprenant – Assistant Pastor

Funny, smart and handsome – all things Louis Surprenant would love to have been. Regardless, he was able to convince his college sweetheart, Jamie, to marry him and have two beautiful children (Elijah & Eva Grace).

Louis graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro with a B.S. in Finance.  After working in the marketplace, he attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. Louis has served in the church and worked on the college campus before coming to New Life in 2017.

Hannah Kim – Sprouts Programs Director

Hannah has lived in Southern California for most of her life. After graduating University High School in Irvine, she received her B.A. in English and Comparative Literature from Cal State Fullerton and proceeded to earn her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Fullerton as well. Eventually, she went on to receive her Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from, you guessed it, Cal State Fullerton. Hannah is excited to be able to share the gospel with children as the Sprouts Programs Director.

Hannah is currently a third grade teacher at a public school in Orange County. She enjoys spending time with family and friends while enjoying the great Southern California weather.

Patricia Reyes – Administrative Assistant

Patricia has resided in Southern California since 1976 and is a recent retiree from UCLA where she enjoyed a dynamic, fulfilling career as the Director of UCLA Housing & Hospitality Procurement Services. She is blessed with 40 years of marriage, two sons, and three grandchildren.

In this new season of her life, she is dedicating her energies in service to the church, believing that serving God is an important element of the Christian faith.
